GIO adding harmony to the kitchen business as a pioneer

    GIO is a kitchen brand which has introduced uniqueness in the design and kitchen industry. Mr. Aaron recounts the beginning of changing kitchen materials that, “going back to the time when the company was founded, stainless steel kitchens in a modern style were not yet available in the market. In the past, most furniture brands and kitchen sets used particle board. With stainless steel kitchens, people are usually reminded of industrial kitchens. So GIO began producing stainless steel kitchens in a European style, resulting in development in many aspects, both design and materials of the highest grade to create better standard and options for customers.”

    “Every year, the brand always invents new products. It is also Thailand’s first brand to introduce LED-lit cabinet in the furniture industry. This idea derived from a visit to Europe, which inspired GIO to become a distributor of such design. This is considered in some way paving the way for LED in the furniture market. Otherwise, the only available option would be grooving LED strip light. In addition to not having attractive appearance, color grains would be highly visible. The brand that GIO imports has been continuously developed, thus eliminating color grains as well as featuring a cover with a sensor.     “In terms of product development, other materials pioneered by GIO include imported titanium-plated grate, while other brands are chromium-plated. In addition, GIO is the first brand to use ceramic in bar countertops. In Asia, no brand uses ceramics as a material for kitchen sets, as well as using aluminum frames, while other brands still use wood.”

    From participating in Architect’24, Mr. Aaron revealed how well-received the GIO brand was among customers. Customers, old and new, expressed interest in the brand. Such good response from GIO’s customer base comes from its quality and service.

    Mr. Aaron explained the difference between GIO and other brands, saying, “Compared to other brands, what is clearly distinctive is that GIO’s products are quality products. Materials have been carefully selected in every production process. With technological development, if we talk about inventing products that pays attention to every detail, it will take a long time to produce. Many brands overlook this matter. This makes GIO different from other brands.”

    “GIO sees the importance of long-term usage, the selection of materials as well as standard production process in every step to prevent any issues. Our products, even purchased a decade ago, are still in good condition. In addition, if these products pose issues, there is after-sales service. For instance, a customer who has been using GIO’s services for 2-3 years, they encountered an issue that the counter bar’s color was too yellow. The issue came from the GIO factory, therefore, the brand decided to change a new kitchen set for the customer, which greatly impressed the customer. When the customer renovated their house, they chose GIO’s service again.

Developing products in hand with social trends to meet consumer needs

    In today’s world, a popular social trend in the design and building industry is inevitably Green Construction, as well as the growing number of the elderly society. This has led to the development of products to meet the needs of usage in line with such trends.

    “GIO has continuously adhered to the concept of Green Construction or Green Product for years. The materials used in production emphasize durability. For instance, the company chooses to manufacture cabinets with stainless steel structure, which are more durable than wood, so there is no need to cut more trees.”

    “For products that use wood, GIO will choose OSB board as it is flexible. While it may be as durable as plywood, it is better because it is E0 grade, which is better for users’ health as it contains formaldehyde of the E0 standard. Wooden products in the market are still E1 and E2, which is harmful for the elderly. The reason why the market still uses such standard of wood is mainly due to the price. However, GIO chooses E0 standard OSB board because we are concerned about the health of consumers. Customers who use the brand’s furniture will discover that after installation, there is no smell of chemical at all. In contrast to other brands, if built-in, it may take half a month to a month to wait for the chemical smell to fade. It can be said that GIO selects materials that cover both the eco-friendly and the elderly trends.”
