Dynasty Ceramic Introduces “RCI Soft Touch”: A New Dimension of Thai Tile Surfaces at Architect’26

In architecture and design, materials are not merely physical components of a space—they are also mediums that convey emotion, experience, and atmosphere in profound ways.

With over four decades in Thailand’s ceramic tile industry, Dynasty Ceramic Public Co., Ltd. has evolved from a fully integrated manufacturer overseeing the entire production process to a developer of porcelain tiles that aim to elevate Thai manufacturing standards to an international level. This is supported by a nationwide distribution network.

At Architect’26, Dynasty Ceramic presents a new direction in product development—one that integrates material innovation with the language of contemporary design. A key highlight is the launch of a new tile surface under the name “RCI Soft Touch.”

A surface that not only transforms the appearance of tiles, but redefines the experience of space through touch.

From On-Site Insights to Meaningful Development

Maruth Saengsastra, CEO of Dynasty Ceramic Public Co., Ltd., views Architect not simply as a product showcase, but as a platform for dialogue between manufacturers and real users.

From architects, designers, engineers, contractors, to project owners—these conversations reveal that ceramic tiles, as architectural materials, are perceived differently by each group.

For architects and designers, the focus extends beyond basic material properties such as low water absorption or the strength of porcelain. It also includes texture, pattern, and the coherence of product series that can be applied seamlessly within spatial design.

Meanwhile, contractors and construction supervisors examine deeper physical properties—such as flatness, durability, ease of installation, and the suitability of laying patterns for different tile designs.

These diverse perspectives have led Dynasty Ceramic to recognize that tile development today cannot be approached from a single dimension.

A truly effective material must bridge material engineering and design language, enabling all users—across different roles—to understand and apply it with confidence.

Soft Touch: A New Dimension of Architectural Surface

In contemporary architecture, materials do more than define spatial form—they shape the experience of living, from visual perception to the tactile sensation underfoot.

Within this context, Dynasty Ceramic introduces Soft Touch, a surface innovation developed to fundamentally transform how space is experienced through touch.

This debut takes place at Architect’26, one of Southeast Asia’s most important platforms for architectural innovation.

When Surface Becomes the Language of Space

Traditionally, tiles are perceived as hard, smooth materials with strong light reflectivity—especially polished surfaces, which can reflect up to nearly 90% of light.

Soft Touch challenges this perception.

The surface is engineered to deliver a noticeably softer and more refined tactile quality. Whether touched by hand or experienced underfoot, the difference is immediately perceptible—even within the same category of porcelain tiles.

Visually, Soft Touch surfaces also feature a reflectance of less than 15%. Rather than producing glare, light is diffused gently, creating a calm, warm, and visually layered atmosphere.

The result is a surface that performs on both tactile experience and visual comfort—two qualities that are increasingly central to contemporary architectural design.

Warm & Natural: Translating Landscape into Material

Alongside the development of surface innovation, Dynasty Ceramic introduces a new design direction under the theme “Warm & Natural”. This concept goes beyond simply creating new patterns. It represents a shift in product development thinking, from fragmented offerings to curated series with distinct narratives and atmospheres.

Part of the inspiration is drawn from European architecture, particularly Italian design, where architecture is often closely tied to its originating landscape or city.

Dynasty Ceramic reinterprets this approach within the context of Thailand.

From the sunlight over Laem Promthep, to the limestone landscapes of Railay Beach, to the tranquil atmosphere of Ban Rak Thai in the northern mountains, these places are not literally replicated, but translated into tones, patterns, and textures.

Each series becomes a material expression of landscape, capturing the emotional essence of place on the surface, as seen in the following examples.

Green & Wellness: Responsibility Begins at the Process

Sustainability and wellness are embedded from the production stage.

Dynasty Ceramic’s porcelain tiles are fired at temperatures exceeding 1,100–1,200°C, eliminating volatile substances that may affect health. The result is a product free from VOCs that impact indoor air quality.

More than 90% of raw materials are sourced domestically, reducing transportation distances and carbon emissions, while supporting green building standards such as LEED, WELL, and Fitwel.

At the same time, the development of anti-slip surfaces reflects a tangible approach to wellness—especially in a society transitioning into an aging population. Materials therefore become not only physical components of space, but integral parts of safety systems and long-term quality of life.

AI as a Tool, Not a Replacement

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated across industries, Dynasty Ceramic defines its role with clarity.

AI is used to enhance efficiency across multiple processes—from production planning and logistics management to mock-up visualization, enabling designers and clients to better visualize projects.

However, in pattern design and surface development, the company maintains a human-centered approach. The subtlety of materials—the rhythm of surfaces and the emotional dimension of design—still relies on human experience and intuition.

Beyond an Exhibition

For Dynasty Ceramic, participating in Architect’26 is not merely about presenting new products. It is an opportunity to communicate the brand’s direction as a Thai architectural material manufacturer.

From the Soft Touch surface innovation to the Warm & Natural series, these developments reflect a broader ambition—to elevate tiles from conventional construction materials into essential elements of architectural experience.

Visitors are invited to explore the products and engage with the team at Booth S204 at Architect’26, held from April 28 – May 3, 2026, at Challenger Hall 1–3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
