This year, Moss Plus is set to make its debut in the design community at Architect’26, unveiling a form of real moss unlike what most people have seen before. This natural plant material undergoes a scientific preservation process that halts biological growth while retaining its softness, shape, and tactile quality for years—without the need for water, soil, sunlight, or fertilizer.
This special introduction is led by Jun Sekino, architect and founder of Junsekino Architect and Design, and co-founder of Moss Plus. She shared that the idea began with a fascination for preserved moss widely used in cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Finland. Inspired by its applications, she and her team studied, experimented, and developed the material for the Thai market—transforming it into a versatile product ready for interior design, wall features, furniture applications, and even interior landscape elements.
Where Moss Plus Began: When an Architect Discovered a Natural Material Perfect for Interiors
Jun explains that her initial inspiration came from seeing how preserved moss was used extensively overseas—in galleries, hotels, and large corporate offices. As a living material transformed through preservation techniques, moss remains intact for years with no maintenance. In Thailand, however, this material was virtually unknown, which sparked her team’s determination to thoroughly research production methods, installation techniques, and long-term care—ultimately creating a ready-to-use product tailored for the Thai design and construction market.
Because preserved moss requires no light, no water, and no soil, it is ideal for projects that aim to truly “bring nature indoors” without adding any operational burden. It can be applied in almost any interior environment—from homes and hotels to restaurants, experience-driven spaces, and public buildings.

More Than Beauty: A Material that Supports Wellness, Sustainability, and Emotional Value
What makes Moss Plus unique is its user- and environment-friendly nature. The brand sources preserved moss from leading producers in Finland and France, following strict European standards for non-toxic dyes and chemical-free preservation processes. This makes it especially suitable for spaces requiring high indoor-air-quality standards such as premium hotels, modern workplaces, residences, and wellness-focused facilities.
With an average lifespan of over five years, preserved moss reflects sustainability in practice—reducing maintenance resources, minimizing material waste, and restoring a sense of “nature” to spaces where plants cannot normally survive.
Beyond large installations, moss enriches even the smallest corners of everyday life. Whether placed in a tabletop frame, on a bookshelf, at a work desk, or in a personal nook, moss softens harsh interior environments, adds a calming presence, and introduces a sense of life—without any need for care.
Whether used as a feature wall, a building highlight, a decorative element, or even a “tiny forest on a work desk,” moss brings together aesthetics, tranquility, comfort, and a meaningful connection to nature—qualities that synthetic materials cannot replicate.

Why Moss Plus Chose Architect’26 for Its Official Launch
Moss Plus chose Architect’26 as its debut platform because the event brings together the full spectrum of the design-and-construction industry—from architects and designers to developers, investors, material manufacturers, and visitors seeking annual trends. The expo serves as a starting point for new conversations about materials, and as a testing ground to understand how well a product responds to market needs.
For Moss Plus, understanding real users is essential. Because this material cannot be fully explained through photos or words, Jun wants visitors to “understand through real sight, real touch, and real experience.” The booth is therefore designed to communicate clearly—from what preserved moss is, how to use it, which spaces it suits, cost considerations, and the long-term value it brings—straight through to new possibilities this material can unlock for interior design.
Making its first appearance at Architect’26 is not only a product introduction, but also the brand’s first step as a design studio specializing in high-quality preserved-moss art, integrating principles of Biophilic Design to enhance well-being in interior spaces—on one of ASEAN’s most influential industry stages.

AI Meets Nature: Technology Expands What Humans Emotionally Seek
Although Moss Plus is rooted in authentic, tangible nature, its design workflow integrates modern technology—especially AI. AI tools assist during the early stages of design, helping generate sketches, explore color palettes, and simulate spatial layouts, allowing clients to visualize multiple possibilities quickly.
However, Moss Plus does not view AI as a replacement for design, but as a supporting tool that accelerates creative development—while the material itself fulfills the emotional values that technology cannot replicate: the feeling of having something alive, close, calming, and natural within reach.
Jun believes that the more the world moves toward digital systems, the more people crave nature. Moss Plus becomes a bridge between these two worlds—between fast-moving data and the grounding, refreshing presence of nature in real living spaces.

Moss Plus at Architect’26: A Small Space Designed to Make You Smile
The Moss Plus booth at Architect’26 is designed to let visitors see real moss up close and understand the material through direct experience rather than explanation alone. Seeing the real textures, true colors, and natural qualities at close range helps visitors recognize how moss can create warmth and freshness in interior spaces—even in places where nature has never existed.
The booth is intended as a small, comforting corner that brings a sense of “nature within reach.” If visitors walk in and instinctively feel at ease—or even smile—that is the experience Moss Plus hopes to share.
