After a 15-year hiatus from Architect’26, Siamtak, Thailand’s leading integrated natural stone specialist, makes a remarkable return with the concept “The Origin of Nature.” The company invites visitors to step into the world of nature through a spatial design that embodies the spirit of stone in every dimension.
Mr. Karoon Wongwutthikrai, Managing Director of Siamtak Co., Ltd., shared that this comeback is not merely about exhibiting products, but about reconnecting decades of expertise and design philosophy with the architectural community. With over 30 years of experience, he believes that the beauty of nature should not be confined to luxury projects alone — natural stone should be accessible and enjoyable in everyday life.
From Passion to Leadership in the Stone Industry
Siamtak began from a deep passion for the unique beauty and texture of natural stone — a material impossible to replicate. That passion evolved into a national-scale enterprise specializing in stone import and processing under the guiding principle:
“To bring beautiful stones from around the world to Thai people at fair prices.”
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Mr. Karoon explained that over three decades, Siamtak has set new standards for Thailand’s stone market — from sourcing raw blocks from global quarries to adopting advanced Italian manufacturing technology and maintaining meticulous quality control at every step, from origin to final installation.
“We want everyone to experience natural stone at an approachable price — starting from their very first slab,”
he emphasized.
This philosophy defines the company’s commitment to serve every customer equally — whether it’s a homeowner ordering a single countertop or a large-scale developer — all receive the same level of professional care and quality.
Designing the Stone Experience Pavilion: The Origin of Nature
For Architect’26, Siamtak unveils a large-scale exhibition pavilion under the concept “The Origin of Nature.” More than a product display, it is conceived as a “Stone Experience Pavilion,” immersing visitors in the atmosphere of a natural quarry through the interplay of light, color, and sound that connects emotion with material.
Mr. Karoon explained that the booth is designed to awaken all five senses — allowing visitors to feel the strength and vitality of stone, not just see it.
“We love creating moments that make people pause in wonder — and then continue the conversation through the language of design,” he said.
As for the highlights, visitors can expect a stunning surprise — a selection of exotic natural stones with rare color tones that transform under different lighting conditions, revealing new depths and emotions. These hues, drawn from nature’s own palette, inspire the overall design direction. Regardless of which stone takes center stage, the message remains: natural stone truly comes alive when placed in the right space and light.
Responsible Luxury and Wellness-Oriented Design
Siamtak embraces the philosophy of Wellness Architecture, recognizing that natural materials form the foundation of spaces that support human well-being. Unlike synthetic surfaces, natural stone emits no harmful chemicals, does not retain excessive heat, and helps balance light and texture within a space.
The company also integrates sustainability at every level — implementing a water-recycling system that reduces new water consumption by over 80%, installing solar panels at its manufacturing facility, and continuously sharing material knowledge with designers to ensure each stone type is used thoughtfully and appropriately.
Mr. Karoon added that the qualities of natural stone are often utilized in projects emphasizing wellness — such as spas, resorts, and health clinics — where stone serves as a medium for regulating temperature and creating a sense of calm. Its natural ability to store and release heat makes interior environments feel cooler, quieter, and more grounded in nature.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Thai Designers
Throughout the past three decades, Siamtak has played a key role in introducing new stone varieties to Thailand’s design community, helping architects and designers perceive natural stone not merely as decoration but as an expression of identity and timeless value.
“We’ve spent years studying the nature of stone — and our mission is to pass that understanding on to designers and end users alike,” said Mr. Karoon.
He sees Siamtak as a bridge between material makers and creative minds, continuously elevating the standard of Thai architectural design.
Hear the Voice of Nature Again at Architect’26
Siamtak’s return to Architect’26 is more than a showcase — it’s an invitation for the design community to listen to nature once again through materials that remain honest to time and life itself.
“We want our pavilion to feel like another world — one that reminds people that this kind of beauty still exists,” Mr. Karoon concluded.
