Greenlam Builds on Experience Toward Laminate Innovation for the Future at Architect’26

For Greenlam, the Architect exhibition is more than a product showcase—it is a vital platform for listening to the “real voices” of actual users, including architects, designers, and property developers. These insights have become the starting point for new product development and strategic direction—going beyond environmental friendliness to address practical performance across every dimension of design.

Greenlam’s return to Architect’26 represents the continuation of lessons learned, transformed into tangible laminate innovations that integrate quality, design, and occupant well-being.

Feedback from Architect’25 Driving Clearer Development

Kattareeya Kanchanakuntikul, Project Specialist Manager of GREENLAM ASIA PACIFIC (THAILAND) CO., LTD., shared that Architect’25 provided direct feedback from professionals in the design industry.

What the team discovered was clear: the market does not seek laminates defined solely by sustainability image. Instead, it expects surface innovations that respond to real-world usage—offering functional features, durability, and long-term performance.

Conversations with designers and industry professionals revealed not only limitations of previous products but also emerging market demands and future usage trends. These insights have become the foundation for refining Greenlam’s products and services to better support contemporary design needs.

From Price Competition to Value, Quality, and Differentiation

Greenlam has shifted its strategy from competing on price to competing on quality, differentiation, and value delivered to projects. Central to this shift is the development of a genuine “green material ecosystem.”

The company collaborates with FSC-certified suppliers and streamlines unnecessary production processes to offer laminates with Low-VOCs emissions and environmentally responsible properties at more accessible price points.

At the same time, technology and AI play a key role in elevating operations—particularly in design support and customer service. Greenlam uses AI to analyze global design trends and generate digital mock-ups that allow clients to visualize applications quickly. This reduces reliance on physical samples that may become waste, while improving efficiency in designers’ decision-making processes.

Wellness Architecture at the Core of Product Development

Wellness Architecture lies at the heart of Greenlam’s development philosophy. The company believes that “a good home or building must never compromise the health of its occupants.”

From a Biomedical perspective, all Greenlam laminates are certified Low-VOCs, helping reduce harmful emissions and improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)—a crucial factor for long-term occupant health.

From a Building Science perspective, Greenlam provides Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), offering transparent data on environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle—from manufacturing and transportation to usage and end-of-life management. These declarations enable designers and developers to assess energy consumption, water usage, and carbon footprint systematically and transparently.

Advancing Green Standards in Design and Real Estate

Greenlam positions itself as a driver of green standards within the interior material industry—demonstrating that sustainable materials can also be high-quality, durable, and aesthetically contemporary.

The company actively educates architects and designers about Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), encouraging responsible material selection from the earliest stages of design.

For property developers, choosing Low-VOCs certified materials not only enhances a project’s health-oriented image but also reduces regulatory risks and strengthens long-term project credibility.

Highlight at Architect’26: The Future Surface Series

At Architect’26, Greenlam will launch its “Future Surface Series,” featuring four new laminate collections that reflect forward-thinking surface design.

  1. Canyon presents a bold, dimensional texture inspired by natural strength—ideal for modern, loft-style, or industrial-luxury spaces.
  2. Aran offers textile-like surfaces that create warmth and softness, suitable for designs seeking refined, gentle atmospheres.
  3. Linea introduces a low-sheen matte wood texture that delivers a natural yet sophisticated aesthetic—perfect for understated elegance.
  4. Barrel showcases grooved wood patterns with enhanced depth and realism, adding tactile character and visual richness to wooden surfaces.

Greenlam envisions Architect’26 as a space to spark progressive dialogue between manufacturers and designers—collaborating to shape buildings of the future that are both beautiful and environmentally responsible.
