Formica Redefines the Art of Surfaces, Elevating Living Aesthetics at Architect ’26

Mr. Pittaya Techarungnirun, General Manager – Business Division, Formica (Thailand) Co., Ltd., shared that Architect ’25 served as a vital connection point, allowing Formica to receive direct feedback from architects, designers, and end users alike — exchanging perspectives and hearing real pain points, particularly around texture and colour tones that require greater variety to accommodate diverse design needs. All of this feedback has been concretely developed into new collections this year, including refined “core colours” for FORMICA CORA that create smoother, more seamless joins, as well as a new generation of Deep Texture surfaces that deliver both visual and tactile experiences — addressing the growing demand for materials that engage multiple senses.

Better Materials, Better Lives

Formica views materials through a dimension far deeper than aesthetics. Under the concept of Wellness Architecture, every material is part of building an environment that genuinely enhances quality of life. The brand prioritises surfaces that are clean, safe, and easy to maintain, while developing colour tones and textures that create a relaxing, warm, and nature-connected atmosphere.

This is reflected in the launch of 25 new shades within the FORMICA CORA range — particularly natural and warm tones such as Beige, now established as a new core colour to ensure greater design continuity and harmony. Whether in residential, workspace, or public settings, Formica’s ultimate goal remains the same: every space using its materials must be a place where people feel at ease, can function effectively, and find happiness every day.

When AI Becomes a Supporter, Not a Competitor

Formica anchors its corporate strategy on two pillars: a Customer-Centric approach and purposeful AI-driven business development — rooted in the belief that AI does not replace people, but makes every process more precise and efficient.

In product development, AI and Data Analytics are used to decode design trends, user behaviour, and market demand — leading to the creation of new Deep Texture surfaces such as Duo Wood, Lumber Wood, and Caved Art, each reflecting both design dimension and genuine tactile experience. On the human side, technology handles the analytical and decision-making load, freeing the team to focus on what only humans can do: creativity and creating value for customers.

Formica believes that a strong and sustainable future lies in growing alongside AI — with full awareness and clear intention.

113 Years of Trust, Never Stopping

Over more than 113 years, Formica (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has stood as a trusted surface material brand within Thailand’s design, construction, and real estate industries. This year, the company further reinforces its sustainability commitment by reformulating production processes to reduce CO₂ emissions by 10% from its Asian factories, while also developing a 0.7mm thickness product that maintains the same standards but uses resources more efficiently. The mission continues: to raise the bar in quality, innovation, and knowledge — continuously.
