Midea Elevates Smart Air Conditioning Innovation — Merging Design, AI ECOMASTER Technology, and Sustainability at Architect ’26

In an era where architecture is no longer driven by aesthetics alone — but must answer energy efficiency, intelligent technology, and indoor living quality — air conditioning technology has become an unavoidable factor in the “quality of space”.

Mr. Thanawat Wongchanwut, Assistant General Manager of Midea Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd., explains that developing air conditioning today goes far beyond cooling — it is about designing a “living environment” that simultaneously answers comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. Participating in Architect ’26 is therefore a significant opportunity for Midea to present a clear picture of technology that connects directly with modern building design.

World-Class Design Driven by AI ECOMASTER

One of Midea’s key highlights this year is the Numen Inverter — an air conditioner that has received the German Red Dot Award 2025, one of the most internationally recognised design awards in the world.

The Numen Inverter is designed under a concept that merges timeless simplicity with intelligent technology, with AI ECOMASTER as its operational core. The system analyses both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions to precisely adjust the unit’s operation to match real-world use — delivering stable performance while saving more than 30% in energy consumption, striking a balance between user comfort and energy efficiency that is central to modern building design.

Answering Every Space with Diverse Solutions

Beyond the Numen Inverter, Midea presents a wide range of air conditioners designed for every spatial context — including the new Celest Inverter with contemporary design and excellent cooling performance, and the mPRO Easy Inverter, which connects and can be controlled conveniently via the SmartHome application. Midea also offers Light Commercial AC solutions in wall-mounted, four-way cassette, and floor-standing formats — addressing the needs of large buildings and architectural projects that demand high performance and installation flexibility.

Hyper Grapfins: When Durability Is Part of Sustainability

Another innovation reflecting Midea’s commitment to performance and sustainability is Hyper Grapfins technology (black fin technology) — developed to elevate the durability of air conditioners across the entire product line. This technology resists corrosion on compressor fins up to 12.5 times better than standard blue fins, enabling more stable operation and a significantly longer service life. It is tested and certified by Intertek, an internationally recognised testing institution. All products also use R32 refrigerant — a high-efficiency, environmentally friendly coolant that reduces global warming impact while enhancing cooling performance — reflecting Midea’s approach that looks beyond operational efficiency to long-term sustainability.

Behind the Innovation: World-Class Manufacturing Standards

The quality of Midea products does not come from design alone — it is grounded in manufacturing processes developed at a world-industry level. Midea Thailand Smart Factory, located at Pinthong Industrial Estate 5 in Chonburi Province, has been certified as a “Lighthouse Factory” by the World Economic Forum — a model factory for Industry 4.0. It deploys AI, Big Data, IoT, and advanced automation for quality control and production efficiency — reducing resource consumption, improving precision, and concretely supporting the organisation’s sustainability goals. It is also the first factory in the electrical appliance industry located outside China to receive this level of certification.

When Technology Becomes Part of Building Design

With world-class innovation and technology experience, Midea is focused on developing solutions that fully address the needs of modern architectural design — whether energy efficiency, ease of use, or long-term quality of life for occupants. Air conditioning technology is therefore no longer merely a support system — it has become one of the key components of building design itself.

Participating in Architect ’26 is therefore more than a product presentation — it is a reflection of Midea’s vision, connecting the worlds of design and intelligent technology to help build a sustainable future for living.
