“GLASTEN: The Modern Luxury Windows and Doors
Doors and windows with a unique and sleek design, hidden with technology that helps meet the needs of modern doors and windows, durable and usable.”
This definition reflecting the identity of the GLASTEN door and window brand was perfectly captured by Pisit Jiraphakul, Managing Director of Glasten (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for us to get to know the GLASTEN brand in the following conversation.
Outstanding with Thermal Break System
From the continuous participation in the Architect Expo, GLASTEN doors and windows have become more and more widely known, both among customers and designers. Pisit revealed to us that the highlight of GLASTEN is the Thermal Break System.
What is exactly the Thermal Break System? Pisit explained to us that “The Thermal Break System separates the aluminum lines which are in direct contact with the outside and inside air to prevent the transfer of heat and sound from outside to inside the house.”
In addition, the brand also stands out by choosing a Thermobreak system from TECHNOFORM, Germany, which was previously not as well known and popular in Thailand. Nowadays, such systems are becoming better known, acknowledged and understood.
As mentioned above, both the features and functionality of European system doors and windows and the Thermobreak system have made GLASTEN a well-known brand among designers and homeowners, both in terms of strength and durability and in terms of special properties for heat and sound reduction.
Provide a worthwhile experience to your ‘last house’
From the question about customer group expansion, we have asked the question: who are GLASTEN’s target customers?
“At present, it can be said that our customer group is homeowners and architects who want to build houses and need doors and windows for their ‘last house’ because they have had experience with various doors and windows. When wanting to build the best house and most cost-effective house, our doors and windows are the answer.”
Such group of customers often considers the quality of doors and windows, strength, durability, beauty, modern technology for doors and windows and the most important thing is after-sales service.
Saving energy with Thermal Break System
We have reached issue of ‘sustainability’, many readers probably want to know how doors and windows can be connected to this. That is why we have thought of questions on the issue that we are all interested in knowing about. With TECHNOFORM’s Thermobreak system from Germany that we expect will contribute more or less to the principle of sustainability.
“GLASTEN’s doors and windows features TECHNOFORM’s Thermobreak system from Germany. It is a system designed in Europe and is widely used around the world. It helps separate the air outside and inside the house directly from the aluminum lines.
This makes the door and window system reduce energy consumption, especially the operation of the air conditioner from inside the house that does not require cooling to directly prevent heat from entering the house. With general aluminum, however, there is usually always heat transfer from outside to inside.
GLASTEN’s doors and windows supports the notion of green building, a new era that directly reduces global warming and saves energy for houses. Nowadays, the Thermobreak system has been implemented as a standard for doors and windows according to the laws of Australia and New Zealand. Moreover, Singapore is going to include this system as an official domestic standard system soon.”
International standards at an affordable price
“GLASTEN’s revenue growth is at least 15% annually, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sales number did not decrease. Because nowadays consumers select high-quality products and our products directly answer the need. Therefore, the consumer’s decision to purchase a product depends largely on the quality and the durability of the product.”
At the same time, GLASTEN’s products are considered low-priced when compared to other door and window brands from Europe. Therefore, it emphasizes on product standards for future development to international standard.
Competition leading to continuous product development
At present, there are more and more foreign door and window brands Thailand, for instance China, Japan, Europe, and others, with various levels of quality along with different price range. However, the influx of products, in turn, has resulted in the continuous development of the aluminum door and window market in Thailand as there is competition from both domestic and international brands.
With competition, developing door and window systems to suit the climatic conditions of that country is another factor that popularizes the brand’s products.
“Good doors and windows are not only because of having a good door and window system. A system designed to suit the Thai climate is equally important. It also includes knowledge and understanding of proper installation and continuous after-sales service. These factors combined lead to a good door and window system.”
In addition, the brand also focuses on providing customer service that takes care of users from installation and after-sales service to ensure the doors and windows are well looked-after throughout their long service life.
Every door and window are quality-controlled at the factory, with modern machinery from Europe to boost customers confidence in every GLASTEN product.
GLASTEN x SIEGENIA, innovation that visitors should experience at Architect’24
Architect’24 is special in a way that we are bringing GLASTEN’s innovations. This year, the brand has presented a new door model developed in collaboration with the German hardware company SIEGENIA, a window and door company with more than 100 years of experience.
The brand has released a new system, Slide & Seal, which is a sliding door system with a rubber seal around the door (working like a van sliding door) that can protect against sound and heat as well as an open door system. SIEGENIA has spent years developing this system until its completion of Generation 3 model.
What’s even more special is that this will be the first model developed to be installed in an aluminum Thermobreak door system. GLASTEN is Thailand’s partner to co-develop this model of sliding door system under the code GP120 and certainly, customers would be able to experience this innovation at the GLASTEN booth at Architect’24 soon.
“Every year of the Architect Expo is truly an ideal platform for showcasing innovation. We are proud to be involved in this event and we hope that the expo will be elevated to the level of an Asian trade fair.”
