SANWA to revolutionize plumbing products with IoT at Architect’24

When talking about taps, SANWA must be one of the top brands that comes to mind. Apart from being known for its strength and durability, SANWA is also famous for its creative advertisement, which renders the products even more colorful and more accessible. Get to know SANWA and two main brands in the Chindasook Group, ASAHI and Drago, from an interview with Khun Jesda Chindasook, executive of Asahi-Thai Alloy Co., Ltd.

Currently, Chindasook Group features 3 main brands: SANWA, ASAHI and Drago. All three brands have products related to the plumbing industry. SANWA has long been known as a brand for water taps, while ASAHI and Drago produce water meters. Drago’s products are special in a way that they can be connected to an application to observe water usage or any abnormal activity with water usage which can lead to damage, including leaks, broken pipes, or even illegal water use, etc. All of this is to provide comfort and convenience to users and the Drago water meter has developed in line with Internet of Things (IoT) technology to upgrade the plumbing industry to keep up with technology and times.

No leak when open and close with brass: SANWA’s slogan

Chindasook’s core business is a brass factory, which is the main material in the production of SANWA, ASAHI and Drago products.

“Our brass factory is the core business that allows us to monitor all of the finished products and ensure they are of the best quality, being durable and corrosion resistant with a long service life. The brass can also be produced into entirely new line of products,” said Khun Jesada.

In addition to the 3 main brands, the Chindasook Group also launched its latest brand, SANWA JET, jet rinsing spray, to be even closer to users, with brass as the main component. The internal main shaft is made with brass, which is durable and rustproof. Likewise, SANWA taps are made of polished brass and plated with nickel to enhance the resistance of corrosion, as well as the ball valve, it is made from brass like the taps. As for water meters, ASAHI and Drago use brass to produce water meters, which can resist corrosion well.  All of this helps solve problems users frequently encounter, such as broken gauges, inaccuracy, or corrosion.

When talking about SANWA, another factor that makes SANWA memorable is advertising media due to its uniquely fun storytelling, small gimmicks and catchy phrases.

“In addition, our new SANWA advertisement will use this slogan, ‘No leak when open and close with brass’, with fun storytelling in SANWA’s style,” Khun Jesada told us about the new advertisement that will come in the concept of SANWA’s slogan.

Technology for better quality

Due to the core business of the company, which brass manufacturing, SANWA has also increased the accuracy of production by introducing computer robots into the production process, such as inspecting products that do not meet standards with Image Processing technology to ensure that quality products will definitely be delivered to users.

Sustainability trends which are ahead of their time

“Sustainability Trends: We are a family business. We have a corporate culture of sustainable development from the first day the company began production,” from the core business which involves the production of brass. Brass can be reused and recycled. Another important aspect of sustainability is re-using heat for maximum benefit. That is, when heat is generated from the production process, the heat will be re-used again. As for the matter of wastewater, there is water treatment from the first day of production. All of these are mottos that must be adhered to because business must be coupled with social responsibility.

It is one of the developments in the quality of life of users. In addition, IoT is the main driver in the development of production processes and products.
