“BATHIC” to reveal its innovative doors and a new brand image at Architect’24 for the first time in 20 years

More than 30 years ago, during the time when businesses were encouraged to use materials other than wood, plastic or PVC products have become the best alternative as it answers the most needs. From increased competitiveness among players in the market as well as higher cost, “BATHIC” decided to transform itself from a trading company to a fully-integrated door manufacturing and distribution company.

BATH + PLASTIC

Why does it have to be BATH, which means bathroom?

Khun Kan Poonsattha, CEO of BATHIC PRODUCTS & SALES CO., LTD., defined the term BATHIC as follows: “In the past, when looking at products made from PVC, most of us often associated them with the bathroom. This is where the word BATH came from, and because PVC is plastic, we combined these two words to form the brand name BATHIC.”

Why was PVC the most prominent wood replacement material at the time?

“Each type of plastic has different properties. But mostly, we look at the cost and difficulty of production. PVC was the best option. During that time, there were also doors made from other materials, such as aluminum and fiberglass doors. However, they either come with high production cost or incompatibility with bathrooms or certain parts of the house, which makes PVC a material that we consider to be the most suitable solution for giving customers good quality products and an affordable price.”

Surpassing a trend to promoting WPC

Although UPVC is becoming popular, BATHIC sees WPC as the material that they want to popularize into the market the most. Khun Kan further explained that in terms of design, both doors have quite the same sleek appearance. Upon deeper inspection, it can be found that WPC doors are plastic which do not look like plastic. WPC has both the properties of wood and plastic, resulting in wood-like surface with all the advantages of plastic, whether being moisture-resistant or termite-free.

“We select the properties of WPC and presented them in the same appearance. The outlook is not different, but it looks like wood, as if it has completely shed itself from its plastic properties. The material can be used in several ways. We also take into account that the design would create something new for the market.”

Sustainability is something that reflects the identity of the organization.

Upon hearing the word sustainability, you may only focus on the product itself, but BATHIC takes a broader perspective. Khun Kan revealed another form of thinking that penetrates deep into the organization, internal process as well as the production process. This is reflected in the products that are delivered to customers.

“Sustainability for BATHIC may not be clearly witnessed in concrete terms. But we want to show how we can become sustainable as we gradually grow, not just the product itself, but how we will develop the organization in every way in order to reach the goal of sustainability.”

REBORN AND REBRAND

Breathing new life into the brand with a variety of products

The return of BATHIC this time is not just about coming back to create a new identity, but also presenting new products in their own way. Although it begins with PVC, BATHIC will not stop with just one type of plastic because thinking about diverse customer groups creates products that meet every need, such as UPVC doors and WPC doors.

Architect’24: the COMEBACK stage chosen by BATHIC

Every new start has its challenges.

Turning back time to when the brand started producing and selling doors, it has been more than 20 years since BATHIC has been a part of the Architect Expo. From the response at the time, it was a good start for launching into the market. Although BATHIC has not appeared at many big events since then, it continues developing and has become trusted by various groups of customers. BATHIC is still known as a quality door brand. With the right opportunity, it is time for BATHIC to come back and showcase its potential again with Architect’24.

“Attending the Architect Expo in the past was like paving the way for the brand to become more well known. So I have entertained the idea to attend the Architect Expo many times and think that BATHIC is ready to come back to let everyone see how things have changed from before. We want the customers to witness that PVC doors are not the only thing we have. We also have doors with functions to support the use of other areas of the house, not just in the bathroom. Architect’24 is considered to be BATHIC’s first big event in 20 years,” said Khun Kan.

Ready to open the door to a new path with Architect’24

BATHIC’s products are not only doors. It features equipment that completes every need, including frames, hinge and knob. Khun Kan revealed that the highlight product is “WPC door”, an innovation that will be displayed at the event so that everyone can experience properties that are more than just plastic. Before concluding,

“Finally, we expect to be get to know new customers and be well-received by existing customers who visit Architect’24.”
