Therefore, in choosing products for construction, SEACON uses Green Concept materials to prevent pollution and are environmentally-friendly, such as aluminum which is free from carcinogens, paint products that do not contain formaldehyde as well as environmentally-conscious way of disposal of various waste generated from construction area in front of the work site.
In addition to choosing construction products that preserve nature, SEACON also sets up a sustainability fund that benefits the society. The details are as follows: “This year, for every 1 million Baht of income, 630 baht will be allocated to the fund. Expectations for Architect’24
“The main expectation for home builders is to see new innovations. If they are related to Green Concept, it’s even better, because SEACON aims to build houses under products that help preserve the environment. However, such products are mostly imported and will have quite high tariffs. With a higher price, fewer people would choose. As a result, even less products are imported, which in turn increases the price even more. At the same time, the government sector has campaigns to preserve the environment, as well as reduce pollution, which goes against the price of importing environmentally friendly materials. If this piece gets to the government, I wish it would consider managing the price, whether it is reducing import taxes or issuing a zero tax policy, it will reduce the price of environmentally friendly products, and more and more people will be able to access them.”
